What to Expect from The Apprenticeships Conference 2019

With the Annual Apprenticeships Conference rapidly approaching, we thought we would share a few thoughts on what to expect on the day

This April is the return of the Annual Apprenticeships Conference in Central London and with just over a month to go, we thought we would share a few thoughts on what to expect from our largest Conference yet!

The Largest Networking Platform Yet

This year’s Conference is our largest yet with over 380 in attendance on the day! As a result, for all delegates the day will be a vital networking opportunity. The Conference will have dedicated networking breakouts throughout the day, as well as opportunities to speak with leading exhibitors from across sectors. We are delighted to have delegates joining us as both providers and employers, which will provide a valuable chance to share ideas and enhance collaboration.

A Ministerial Address

This year, we are delighted to welcome the Minister for Apprenticeships and Skills, The Rt Hon Anne Milton MP. The Minister will be joining us to deliver our first Ministerial address as she charts the progress of the apprenticeship reforms and the next steps in enhancing national apprenticeship provision.

Understanding Regulation and Quality

The Conference will also allow a real assessment of some of the key regulatory updates to apprenticeships provision and the next steps for providers and employers in supporting quality. This year we will be joined by Ofsted, the Office for Students and Sally Collier, the Chief Regulator of Ofqual, all of whom will be exploring the regulatory landscape.

New Bespoke Breakout Streams

This year we will be hosting dedicated breakout streams for ‘Providers’ and ‘Employers’ allowing all delegates to delve into greater depth to the issues affecting their apprenticeship programmes. These sessions will provide practical insights and case study sessions to allow you to draw on lessons which can be implemented in your own context.

Resources

Don’t worry about taking notes on the day! Our Conference this year will be providing a digital resource bank allowing you to download and access all the Conference presentations and resources from the very start of the Conference.

The Conversation Starts Now!

As ever, the Conference isn’t just about the speakers on the day! We want to hear your thoughts, ideas and views in our ongoing debate up to and beyond the Conference itself. Follow our Twitter page at: https://twitter.com/AppsConf and engage in the discussion with your fellow delegates using our dedicated hashtag: #Apprenticeships19
