Mark is Executive Director, Policy at London First, a membership group which campaigns to make London the best city in the world to do business. Mark runs the People Team, which drives the organisation’s work on skills, immigration, employment, inclusion and diversity and education, including running the largest careers and skills event in the UK, Skills London. He also has account management responsibility for London First members in the education, financial services, legal services, health, and hospitality sectors. Mark has an extensive network across business, education, policy think tanks and Government. A seasoned communicator, regular media commentator, keynote at conferences and seminars, and member of several government boards eg Home Office National Advisory Board and the London Mayor’s Apprenticeship Advisory Group. Prior to London First, he was a retail property consultant for 8 years, developing asset management strategies for blue chip property companies, and he spent four years in local government providing policy advice and training programmes to councillors as well as leading on neighbourhood planning activity. Mark joined London First from the Association of Colleges where he ran the London region.
